Dhanush is an Indian film Actor. He was born on Jul 28, 1983 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is the son of Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi. He made his acting debut with the Tamil film Thulluvadho Ilamai 2002.
He starred in the films Kadhal Kondein, Thiruda Thirudi, 3 and Thiruda Thirudi. He also appeared in the films Polladhavan, Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Padikathavan, Aadukalam, Maryan, Shamitabh, Anegan and Thanga Magan.
He won National Film Award for Best Actor for the film Aadukalam and he has won six Filmfare Awards. He married Aishwarya R. Dhanush in 2002. He had two children.
